For one of the nation’s leading specialty coffee retailers, the flow of orders from the drive-through window to the barista stations were hindering customer service at the point of purchase and order accuracy. Turning to Standard Register for help refining their order placement process, a brand new custom label and printer platform was developed to simultaneously speed customer service and improve order accuracy. Now, when orders are placed at the drive-through window, they are fed directly to a label printer at the barista station. Individual cup labels are printed for each order and applied to the cup, containing detailed order information such as special drink instructions and customer name, improving order accuracy and eliminating customer confusion.
