Product Identification and Tracking—Cartons and Pallets
The Auto-Identification Solution from Industramark enables manufacturers to automate the shipping process, increase productivity, reduce errors, utilize workers more effectively and deliver a more consistent product appearance. Automation is available for both individual packages and complete pallets.

Automatically Identify and Label Individual Cartons
Using bar code technology, Industramark’s package tracking technology indentifies individual cartons entered into the warehouse management system and pulls carton-specific information to determine label format as well as the data contained on that label. The label is then printed, applied and validated. The data is transmitted back to the warehouse management system and made available for use in additional systems, including shipping manifest, electronic data interchange and advance shipment notification systems.

Identify and Track Complete Pallets of Product
Manufacturers can automate pallet identification through Industramark’s pallet tracking technology, which can accommodate one to four Universal Container Code (UCC128) compliance labels on each pallet. This solution allows the manufacturer to track pallet loads from production through distribution and, finally, to the end user. This is particularly important for product recalls—the system allows individually affected pallets to be identified and pulled as opposed to losing an entire day of production.

Application Modules for Package and Pallet Tracking
Several application modules are available for both the package and pallet tracking applications offered by Industramark, including:

• Interface Module: Interfaces with a variety of mainframes, including IBM, HP and DEC, and supports Novell and Windows NT servers
• Control Module: Identifies and precisely tracks movement of cartons and pallets located on one or more conveyor lines, identifying the labels needed for each
• Weigh Scale Module: Incorporates data from a weigh scale into the label, including shipping and freight information
• Label Module: Formats the data to be included on each label and generates the label at production speed
• Validation Module: Makes certain the label and information is correct for each package and pallet
• Security Module: Prevents unauthorized use of the system while generating event logs to track all label activity
